From this morning (29th March 2007), BT have slashed their prices to give customers a better deal. The cuts have been widespread amongst their 3 options, with Option 1 only costing a meagre £8.95 a month.

Option 2 is now £13.99 and Option 3 now £18.99, making BT one of the most competitive broadband deals around – reflecting their position in many of our comparison lists. All three options available are 8Mb/s with varying download limits, with 5GB, 8GB and unlimited downloads (Fair Usage Policy applies), respectively.

Also all three packages are on a 18 month contract with the prices rising slightly after 6 month’s, however 12 month packages are available for each, but with the initial price lasting 3 months.

BT have also improved their website - offering greater ease in seeing all the information you will need to sign up. We have looked at the signup process this morning in the Top 10 office and agree that the process is far easier for the user to sign up whilst also offering serious money savings every month.

Sure to cause shockwaves across the broadband market, industry insiders are expecting the other major providers to follow suit and slash their prices to keep up with BT’s new lower-cost offering.
