On the 5th of March it was revealed that Biscit, the London based ISP has gone into administration. This comes shortly after the resignation of their CEO Hugh Paterson. Many attempts at trying to reach senior staff at Biscit have been fruitless, as matters seem to go from bad to worse for the ISP.

Piper Thompson have confirmed that they are handling the administration of the company. Only weeks before, the ISP had been adamantly denying speculation that it was in financial difficulties as refund cheques for customers had bounced, and staff were laid off in January.

Last year Biscit bought out V21 who it is rumoured, are still awaiting payment from Biscit and are pursuing the directors for the money in the High Court.

The company has withdrawn itself from the ISPA (Internet Service Provider’s Association), meaning that customers are no longer protected by the industry code of practice or complaints procedure.

No news is given on their website and how badly customers will be affected as yet is unknown.
