BT battles IT 'gremlins'
Posted 1st May 2008 at 12:00pm by Alex Buttle
The new advert for BT's business broadband support services is to feature 80s film characters the Gremlins alongside Dragons' Den panellist Peter Jones.
BT previously announced Jones as the second celebrity to appear in the series, following chef Gordon Ramsay.
Now the organisation has unveiled the advertisement itself, which is due to premiere on British television on May 5th.
The promotional piece aims to highlight the importance of a reliable business broadband connection - and the need for expert assistance should it fail.
Mick Hegarty, marketing director of BT Business, says: "There is nothing worse than gremlins attacking your IT system and damaging your work.
"This is why we offer 24-hour IT and communications support - because you never know when those IT gremlins will strike."
BT's previous advertisement featured Ramsay attempting to open his PC tower with a carving knife while his kitchen burned down around him and his employees tackled the blaze.
