Eclipse has announced it will be offering customers 24MB broadband after making upgrades to its network.

The broadband provider has highlighted the fact that the deal will be for 'TrueSpeed' - meaning that customers will not be subject to traffic shaping or throttling when online.

A new customisable feature will allow users to focus their connection of prioritised activities such as Peer to Peer, Gaming, VPN and FTP.

According to the provider, the Eclipse 24Mb network now covers most of the country, but those outside the coverage area will have to pay an extra monthly fee.

The offering, which will be available in Home Lite, Home Select and Home Pro packages, is expected to launch on Tuesday, September 30th.

Pricing plans for the different options vary according to the amount of web space provided in each deal.

Home Lite will cost £7.95 for the first three months and £10.95 thereafter, Home Select will be £12.95 up to £15.95 after the quarter, with Home Pro £21.95 and then £24.95.
