O2 launches broadband tech support helpline
Posted 2nd July 2009 at 5:11pm by Kimberley Howson
Internet service provider O2 has launched a new technical support helpline for its broadband customers.
The broadband supplier's new service will cost £7.34 for a monthly subscription or £14.69 on a Pay as You Use arrangement.
It will provide business customers and consumers with telephone help to solve issues regarding home and mobile broadband, as well as PC and laptop configuration problems.
Jonathan Earle, Head of Pay Monthly at O2, explained that the helpline will accompany the free advice that the provider currently supplies its customers for issues relating to their broadband service.
"We have listened to what our customers have asked for and believe that O2 Tech Support will differentiate us in this market," he said.
"Consumers want a one-stop shop where they can buy a product, get support, advice and a fix if things go wrong."
The announcement comes after O2 announced that it will provide two months of free internet connection to all new customers signing up for any of its home broadband packages in July.
