When Meg met Virgin Media
Posted 19th August 2009 at 11:42am by Jonathan Leggett
As with the movie, the spot starts with a cocksure chap denying that a woman has ever faked ‘it’ with him. But a café-full of panting, hair-tossing ladies later, he’s forced to eat his words while doubtless choking on the burger he’d been chowing on. The same goes for sundry other males present, whose shocked faces belie their egos crumpling like a child’s toy in a trash compactor.
As the screen fades to black, the pay off reads: ‘Experience the power of 50 Mb/Meg broadband.”

Boasting just the right blend of sauce and wit, we love the ad. But what do you think? Is it limper than wet lettuce? Or did the earth move for you? Let us know in the comments section below.
