Starbucks Wi-Fi proving a hit with broadband users

Wireless broadband users can access the internet while enjoying a quiet coffee, courtesy of the Starbucks chain.
The firm offers Wi-Fi services at all its high street outlets, enabling customers to check their emails or perform vital work duties while out of the office.
With this in mind, mobility services provider iPass has teamed up with BT Openzone to compile a list of the top ten coffee houses for web access in the capital.
Outlets at Paddington Station, Canary Wharf and the BBC building make the chart, along with those on Horseferry Road, Chiswick High Road, Clapham High Street and Queensway.
Starbucks located at Borders Bookshop, the Lock Keeper's Cottage in Camden and at Charing Cross complete the top ten.
"By providing customers with Wi-Fi, Starbucks gives them the perfect excuse to get connected whilst enjoying the coffee shop's comfortable environment," iPass says.
ISPreview.co.uk reported last week that a tax on wireless broadband networks is set to be launched in the UK by the Valuation Office Agency.
