O2 cuts connection fee on broadband laptop bundles
Posted 26th January 2010 at 2:58pm by Kimberley Howson
People looking for a mobile broadband and laptop bundle could benefit from considering offerings from O2, it has been revealed.
The company has chosen to scrap the one-off connection fee featured on its 24-month contract deals, which include offerings with the Asus 1005H and Samsung R519 laptops.
Featuring the Intel Atom processor and a 160GB hard drive, the Asus 1005H is available for free on a two-year deal from £25 a month.
Alternatively, the Samsung R519 includes a Intel Premium Dual Core Processor, a 15.6-inch widescreen display and a 250GB hard drive, and is available from £35 a month on a similar contract.
News of the offers has come after O2 confirmed it is to begin offering home phone services from March.
The move will allow households in the UK to take up bundled home broadband and phone deals through the provider, which include free 24-hour customer care, from £9.50 a month.
