T-Mobile is in talks with Google with a view to offering the Nexus One Android phone on its network, an excecutive from the carrier has revealed.

When the Nexus One was launched in the US in early January, Vodafone announced that it had a deal with Google that would bring the Nexus One to the UK at some point in the first quarter of the year. This was widely thought to have been an exclusive deal.

However, Robin O'Kelly of T-Mobile has since disclosed on a social networking that negotiations are ongoing with Google for T-Mobile to join Vodafone in carrying the handset.

Though Vodafone had never said that its deal over the Nexus One was exclusive, no other UK network had expressed any public interest in the Nexus One until now.

For those with a proclivity for contract free mobile use, the Nexus One is already available to buy online from Google's own shop.

However, a subsidised version could well be making its way to two or more UK networks in the near future.
