  4. Blackberry Torch 9800

    Blackberry Torch 9800

Blackberry predates the iPhone by a few years, but for a while there it seemed like Blackberry phones were going to be overtaken in all respects by the next generation of smart phones. Fortunately, though, with models like the Torch 9800, Blackberry has reclaimed the crown among phones that are meant to be used simply as phones. If you don’t need all the bells and whistles of an iPhone or an Android phone, Blackberries are still the best.

  6. iPhone

    iPhone

Although other phones have come along and stolen much of the spotlight, the iPhone still sets the standard for phones that can do just about anything. Thanks to the innovative apps-based console, the phone takes customization to incredible new heights, and it’s so powerful and versatile that you can almost do anything with it. When you combine this with the iPad, Apple fans almost don’t even need real computers anymore.

  8. Blackberry Bold 9700

    Blackberry Bold 9700

While other smartphones try to go electronic with everything, Blackberry phones still cling to the old-fashioned keyboard. Personally, I find these actual keyboards easier to use than the sketchy electronic varieties included in phones such as the iPhone, but I can see why others might want to keep things simple by having nothing more than a touch screen and a single button.

  9. Motorola Droid X

    Motorola Droid X

If you’re a gadget freak, as I am, then you need to at least take a look at the Motorola Droid X. It’s one of the most beautiful phones ever created, with an amazing screen and a nice, thin design that just hasn’t been matched by any other phone. It’s also extremely fast and has tons of useful applications. In fact, it has so many features that you might find it a little bloated.

  10. HTC Nexus One

    HTC Nexus One

The Nexus One, developed by HTC in collaboration with Google, is one of the more innovative phones on the market today. Using the Android platform, the phone is fast and easy to use, and its design is stellar. It may not be as feature-rich as the iPhones of the world, but if you just need your phone to be a phone, then the Nexus One is just about perfect.
