  1. Chuck

    Chuck

Cancelled after season 5 was announced. Likely that they're giving fans a fifth season to close things up, rather than leaving threads open after season four, which is more than can be said with how they handled Heroes.

  2. Stargate Universe

    Stargate Universe

Ended after season two. Wanted season 3 so bad.

  3. Stargate Atlantis

    Stargate Atlantis

Ended after five seasons that just kept getting better. Wanted season 6.

  4. Heroes

    Heroes

Season one was awesome, but after that it started a slide. Season four was a return to form, and made me want a wrap up with season five.

  5. ALF

    ALF

After four seasons, ALF was going to be moved to a research lab for the fifth season. It became the Project ALF tv movie a few years later. Season 4 had ended with ALF nearly getting to go home when government agents arrived. Season 5 would have been great!

  6. Doogie Howser, M.D.

    Doogie Howser, M.D.

Cancelled after season 4, the fifth season was to be the last season. The plan for the fifth season involved Doogie Howser deciding that being a doctor for the rest of his life wasn't something he wanted to do. He was at an age when most people decide what they want to do with the rest of their lives. He was going to hang up the scrubs and become a writer, as foreshadowed by the end of each episode concluding with Doogie writing in his computer journal. The interesting thing about this show, is if it were revived for a season, or rebooted, it could end the same way, but with a blog, or a tweet.

  7. Freaks and Geeks

    Freaks and Geeks

Aired on Saturday evening, and was cancelled in the middle of the first season - which gave the writers time to write a proper finale for the series. One that was so good that people thought the show was planned out only as a single season from the start.

  8. Arrested Development

    Arrested Development

Great show with great characters, it's coming back for a single 4th season prior to the feature film.

  9. Scrubs

    Scrubs

Season 8 wrapped it up very well. Season 9 should have been the start of "Scrubs: Med School." That show had promise. Too bad it didn't last.

  10. Alias

    Alias

After a great first couple of seasons, we got season three. Not a great season, but left most fans wanting more. Season four came and fixed all of that, but then the lead actress, Jennifer Garner, wanted to move on to other things, and season five brought an end to everything.
