“Pete, we want you to lay under a sheet of glass for sixteen hours while we mess around with bits of Play-Doh. You up for it?” LONG PAUSE. “Er...yeah ok.” Such was the scene just before this epic went into production. The stop motion photography was produced by Aardman Animations, creators of Creature Comforts and of course, Wallace and Gromit. Always near the top of best video charts, it won a record nine MTV VMA awards in 1987. Best bit: The egg hatching into dancing chickens is cracking, Gromit. Sorry.

picture yourself in a train and think of how the landscape flows next to you in the window. Now try and imagine groovy, funky, background music, and then imagine that parts of the landscape show up in such a way that they emphasize each and every pitch and beat of the song. if you cant, then you should see this. Ive never seen a video match the song as good as this, and that can feel so uplifting at the same time, its incredible

the video is of a black guy dancing and a bunch of other people standing around him, commenting why he does that. that way we find out this guys backstory, his reasons, his past... its a unique idea that somehow seems to work, and the result is stunning

some striking russian expressionism, a composition that is either very full or very nuanced, and a whole array of impossible images. thats basically it, enjoy

the video starts with the phrase: Are you for an unbelievable audiovisual experience?(or something to that end) the video, i have to say, it delivers, its like nothing you know or think of, the movments of JK and the background, the way the sound is mixed into that, it blows your mind

Im a sucker for rube goldberg machines, and this one is very visually striking. the video itself is broken up by the fact that it oscilates between showing the machine and the band, and also because the machine is pretty much dull-grey, and the band has yellow highlights. the way the tension is created, through a visual medium, is unlike a lot of things i have seen

when I first saw this video I was really skeptical about it, didnt really impress me, and then i started watching a little closer, and saw just how excellent; a. the movements are put together and flowing, b. how well it is edited and how it fits the song. its really entertaining

this video is very good at doing one thing: it keeps you captivated on the song, by bringing pieces of interpretation bit by bit through the help of a clever trick: splitting the images into triangles. i like watching it

cool vid, nice, sombre, dark atmosphere, people moving in perfect unison, and then the creepy yet sexy dancers, male and female. the song is about sexual tension and how it tends to mess with you as a human being, and the video is the most deranged possible method of displaying it (within certain boundaries)

one kylie is hot, a lot of them.... basic idea of the video is that kylie is going round a roundabout, and every time she goes round it, another kylie appears, and every new emerging kylie is rocking the crowd, along with all the other previous versions. not just kylie, other elements of the background also multiply, and this video is one of the best examples of editing Ive ever seen
