Sometimes to be romantic and chivalrous you have to take your partner on a romantic adventure, even if you would rather sit in and watch the latest Coach Trip. Here is my top 10 favourite romantic cities that you should take your partner to see!

Every girl dreams of being whisked away to Paris on a romantic adventure with a tall, dark and handsome man. However, nowadays it’s easier to just sit in and watch Glee with a domino’s pizza. Still, Paris is and will always be a magical romantic dream that sparks fascination, romance and curiosity in any hopelessly romantic woman. My girlfriend is such a woman whom finally pressured me into taking her to Paris on Valentine’s Day and needless to say it was indeed fascinating and romantic. The captivating view of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony of our five-star hotel at night was the highlight of our romantic experience.

Although Amsterdam is commonly known for its herbal green and open-minded red light district, once you get over all of that, it’s actually quite a romantic city. Last year, I had the opportunity to take my girlfriend to a romantic adventure in Amsterdam for the day. Once we boarded the over-night ferry and delved deep into the heart of the city, we fell in love with it. We spent the entire day getting lost in the city and exploring the river with a 2-man canal. It was indeed a beautiful and romantic experience.

We have seen it on all of those cheesy romantic British comedies starring Hugh Grant, London is quite the romantic and captivating city. When the sun sets, London becomes enchanting and seductive to romantic couples. It’s a romantic city that’s cram packed with sophisticated restaurants, VIP night life, high quality sight-seeing and beautiful romantic locations. Not only is it an ideal city to spend quality time with your partner, it’s also a great romantic city to meet the opposite sex. A survey in Zoo magazine said that 42% of couples whom live in London met locally on a night out.

If you have ever seen any American chick flick, you would know that most of the lives of the fleeting romantic couples take place in New York. Love in the big apple has never been more so popular with evening horse-drawn carriages that ride young romantic couples through the beautiful districts of New York. Museums tend to be the highlight of romantic adventures in New York, mostly because of the local art culture being linked to seduction, love and romance. If you haven’t been to New York, you are highly missing out.

"Rome wasn’t built in a day.” It sure does take more than just a day to experience the amazingly seductive city that is Rome. A week in Rome is life changing to a romantic couple; it can either spark creativity in a relationship or make it entirely stronger on an affectionate level. I suppose it’s the culture of Italy and when you have time to explore it in depth, it really takes you in deeply and inspires you to love, appreciate and admire. If you take your partner to Rome, expect to have a much stronger and sensual relationship. Maybe there is something in the air? Who knows? However, it’s quite clear to say that Rome is extremely beautiful and romantic.

If you are looking for a romantic release into an exciting and seductive experience, Venice happens to be one of the best cities to deliver just that. Whether you want to be serenaded whilst being rowed down the Grand Canal or sharing homemade Pizza in a high class restaurant with your other half, romantic adventures in Venice are epic and unforgettable. The historic sight-seeing makes Venice a memorable visit that will have all of your friends jealous when you share with them your prized beautiful photos of all the romantic places you visited whilst you was in Venice.

Austria happens to host many beautiful cities; however, there is nothing quite romantic and captivating like Vienna. What stands out the most about Vienna is the visually stunning architecture and the local friendly culture. A weekend in Vienna is a romantic dream for you and your other half, whether you want to explore the shopping district or explore historic monuments and museums. The city is the ideal location for proposing to your girlfriend and many restaurants actually help cater to men with the intent of proposing to their girlfriend. It is a beautiful and unforgettable experience.

Brussels is known as the chocolate capital and hosts a vast amount of delightful treats that will dazzle your other half. Men take note, chocolate is an aphrodisiac and women absolutely adore it. Why not mix chocolate and romance together for the perfect get-away? Chocolate is becoming the new girl’s best friend, especially now that you can purchase handmade chocolate with your girlfriend’s name on it written in edible gold. Take her to this chocolate-loving and romantic city and she will love you forever.

Although Tijuana is known as a city of sleaze, hookers and strippers; if you avoid all of that it is quite a romantic city. If you are looking to give your other half a romantic Mexican experience, Tijuana hosts some of the most beautiful and lavish hotels that are personally catered for romantic couples. There are many activity day packages available for couples such as; paint ball, mountain tours, art experiences and Mexican culture tours. It’s quite the romantic experience.

My girlfriend is an avid art lover, so when I surprised her by taking her to the Glasgow Museum, she was so thrilled. However, it also turned out to be quite a romantic day. Whilst my girlfriend appreciated all of the art, I was touching every painting like the rebel that I am. We spent the entire day just messing around the whole museum and getting lost in the wonders of all the artistic rooms. She really enjoyed the experience and it made our relationship stronger because it was captivating and romantic. If you are looking for a romantic adventure, I highly recommend that you check out the Glasgow Museum. Even if your girlfriend doesn’t like art, at least you could have fun touching paintings that you’re not supposed to touch!
