One of the seven provincial capitals in Italy, Verona is bursting with culture and romance. This city was once home to Leonardo da Vinci, and was a favorite vacation hotspot for none other than Julius Caesar. The Roman and Medieval architecture make the perfect backdrop for any romantic outing and the food, music, and culture are second-to-none.

While Czechoslovakia was a Soviet satellite state, nobody gave much thought about traveling to Prague at all--much less for a romantic vacation.
