What is OmniWatch?
OmniWatch is an identity theft monitoring service launched in 2023. The platform monitors the dark web and credit bureaus to alert you when your personal data has been leaked or your identity has been stolen. To help restore your identity, OmniWatch offers 24/7 access to identity restoration specialists and up to $2 million in identity theft insurance.
This is an excellent service for anyone who wants identity theft protection at an affordable price. OmniWatch is very easy to set up, and there’s almost nothing you need to do once it’s running. The availability of 24/7 support means that if your data is leaked, you can get expert help to address the problem right away.
OmniWatch Features
Here are the key identity theft protection features that OmniWatch offers.
Credit monitoring
OmniWatch monitors your credit activity at the three major credit reporting bureaus—TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. If there are changes to your credit score, you’ll receive an alert. OmniWatch can help you lock your credit at each agency to prevent anyone from opening new financial accounts in your name.
You also get access to your credit reports from each agency. TransUnion reports are available monthly, while Experian and Equifax reports are available every 90 days.
Dark web monitoring
This service monitors the dark web for leaked personal information such as your name, email, address, and Social Security number. OmniWatch will alert you if your information is detected in a new place on the dark web.
Identity theft and ransomware insurance
Your OmniWatch subscription includes up to $2 million in identity theft insurance. This is noteworthy because most of OmniWatch’s competitors offer only up to $1 million in insurance coverage.
This insurance covers you for legal expenses, lost wages, or stolen funds related to identity theft. There is no deductible if you need to use the insurance policy.
With OmniWatch’s Premium plan, you also get up to $25,000 in ransomware insurance. This can help you cover the cost of paying a ransom.
Identity risk score
OmniWatch calculates your identity risk score on a scale from 1-10 based on how much of your personal information is available on the dark web. It also offers tips for how you can reduce your risk of identity theft—for example, by changing the password associated with a breached account.
Identity restoration support
With OmniWatch, you have 24/7 access to US-based identity restoration specialists. These agents can help you freeze your credit reports, credit cards, and bank accounts. They can also walk you through the steps needed to restore access to your accounts and help you access insurance funds through OmniWatch.
Is OmniWatch Safe and Reliable?
OmniWatch uses 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption to protect the information you submit when creating an account. However, OmniWatch does not offer multi-factor or biometric authentication at this time. The only thing needed to get into your account is your password, which feels less than completely airtight.
OmniWatch has a detailed privacy policy that explains that OmniWatch won’t share your financial data with any third parties. However, the service will share some basic information like your name and email with third-party advertisers. This is common practice among identity theft protection services, although I’d prefer OmniWatch not to share any information at all.
OmniWatch is accredited with the Better Business Bureau and has an A- rating.

How OmniWatch Works
OmniWatch is a monitoring service that operates without requiring any work on your part. Once you set up your account, OmniWatch will automatically alert you to personal data leaks or sudden credit changes.
How to Get Started with OmniWatch
You can get started with OmniWatch by signing up with your email address and choosing a subscription plan. You’ll need to verify your identity with TransUnion, which involves submitting your social security number and contact information. This identity check won’t impact your credit score.
Once your identity has been verified, OmniWatch will scan the dark web for your personal data and calculate your identity risk score. It will also automatically begin monitoring your credit reports.
I found the setup process to be very fast and easy. OmniWatch was up and running within five minutes. After addressing a few tips to lower my identity risk score, I didn’t need to do anything more.
OmniWatch Customer Service
OmniWatch offers customer service by phone from 7am-4pm (PT) Monday-Friday. You can also get in touch by email using a form on the company’s website. I called and was connected to an agent in less than a minute.
If your identity is stolen, you can contact an identity restoration specialist 24/7 by phone.
How to Cancel or Pause an OmniWatch Subscription
You can cancel your OmniWatch subscription at any time using the cancellation button in your account settings. You don’t need to contact support to cancel your plan.
Is There an OmniWatch App?
OmniWatch doesn’t have a mobile app at this time.
OmniWatch Pricing
OmniWatch offers two plans: Basic and Premium. Both include TransUnion credit monitoring, dark web monitoring, up to $2 million in identity theft insurance, and 24/7 identity restoration support. The Premium plan adds monitoring and credit reports for Experian and Equifax along with up to $25,000 in ransomware insurance.
Both plans cover only a single individual. OmniWatch doesn’t offer plans for couples or families.

I like the Basic plan because it includes OmniWatch’s best features at an affordable price. While there’s a small chance you could miss a credit change at Experian or Equifax, TransUnion monitoring is sufficient to spot most threats to your identity.
The Premium plan is worthwhile if you’re worried about ransomware and want up to $25,000 in coverage to help you pay a ransom.
OmniWatch’s prices are in line with the industry average. You can expect to pay around $7-$20 per month for most capable identity monitoring services.

Bottom Line
OmniWatch monitors your credit reports at the three major credit bureaus and watches out for your personal data on the dark web. It does an excellent job at spotting threats and offers 24/7 expert support to help you get your identity back. OmniWatch also provides up to $2 million in identity theft insurance to help you recover from an incident.
Overall, I think OmniWatch is a great identity theft monitoring service at a reasonable price. It would be nice to see the platform add additional security tools and a mobile app. But even without those features, I recommend using OmniWatch to protect your identity.
