What Services and Features Does Frontier Offer 

Frontier brings you super-fast fiber-optic broadband with high speeds that should suit heavy streamers or gamers. Fiber optic is only available in certain locations, and it’s not clear from the Frontier website exactly where you can access this service, but if you enter your address you can see more details of which packages you can get. There’s no data cap and Frontier promises not to throttle speeds to ensure consistent service. This is another reason why Frontier’s service could work for you if you’re a heavy internet user. Of course, this is only applicable if you’re in an area eligible for the FiberOptic plan. 

Prices, Plans, and Value for Money 

Frontier offers two plans for individual households: the Frontier FiberOptic Internet package, available in some locations, and the Frontier Internet package. Both packages come with unlimited data, a monthly autopay feature, and a wi-fi router included. FiberOptic adds $200 worth of Visa Rewards, and access to a fully fiber-optic network with up to 25x faster speeds than ordinary cable. You can pay slightly less for the 500M service, or for the highest speeds, purchase the Gig service. With the Frontier Internet package, you get free activation (worth $85) if you order online.

Neither package requires an annual commitment. As of October 2021, Frontier offers a $5 monthly discount when you set up an autopay arrangement.

Ease of Use, Hardware, and Setup

You get your router included when you purchase a Frontier plan. You can either self-install, using Frontier’s detailed guide to help you, or you can have a technician come to install the router for you. This flexibility could suit if you find self-installation difficult.

Frontier Security

You can add Frontier’s Digital Security Suite to your subscription to get malware monitoring, password management, identity protection, and family restrictions across up to 10 devices.
