Best For

  • Busy people. Unlike meal kit delivery services, YouFoodz meals arrive ready-made, so all you need to do is heat them up.
  • One-person meals. YouFoodz meals are specifically designed for one person, helping you avoid food waste and leftovers.

YouFoodz Meal Plans

YouFoodz offers four different meal plans: Everyday Healthy, Low Calorie, Vegetarian, and Flexitarian.

Each meal serves one person, and you can choose between five and 18 meals per week, so there’s lots of adaptability for different requirements and schedules.

As well as the extensive selection of meals each week, YouFoodz also offers a range of snacks and drinks. So if you think you might like a sweet treat after your dinner, you can browse the add-on menu. Goodies include protein balls, brownies, cookies, and mixed juice bundles.

YouFoodz Dietary Options and Programs

Everyday Healthy

The Everyday Healthy meal plan has the widest range of meals, and features balanced, diverse recipes that are packed with protein, veggies, carbs and healthy fats.

Vegetarian

If you don’t eat meat or fish, you can choose from a varied range of meat-free meals with the Vegetarian meal plan.

Flexitarian

If you'd like to still enjoy meat and fish while eating a mostly veggie diet, you can opt for the Flexitarian plan.

Low Calorie

If you’re watching your weight, the Low Calorie meal plan has a varied selection of healthy meals under 400 calories.

Our Favourite YouFoodz Meals

We loved the loaded brekky pie, which is a delicious way to start the day. A buttery pastry case is stuffed with egg, cheese, and veggies including zucchini, sweet potato, and pumpkin. Served with zingy tomato chutney, it’s flavoursome, filling, and nutritious.

For a comforting dinner that’s high in protein and nutritionally balanced, we loved the fried chicken and gravy. Chicken breasts are covered in a herby crumb, fried until crisp, then served with a side of creamy mash, peas, and rich gravy.

We also loved the vegetable madras curry, which is mild yet full of aromatic flavour. Cauliflower and pumpkin are cooked until tender, then smothered with a delicious curry sauce and served with fluffy red rice.

How Much Does YouFoodz Cost?

Costs vary from $4.99-$9.49 per meal, depending on how many meals you have delivered each week. Prices start from around $48 for a plan of five meals per week.

How YouFoodz Works

How to Place an Order with YouFoodz

Subscribing to YouFoodz couldn't be easier. Using either the website or the app, you simply create an online account and select your meal plan. Then you choose how many meals you’d like each week, enter your delivery and payment information, and you’re good to go.

After you’ve chosen your plan, you’ll be shown the meals YouFoodz thinks you might like. Once you’ve picked your meals, just select a delivery date and time, and they’ll be sent straight to you.

How to Choose Meals with YouFoodz

If you don’t like a meal in your plan, you can swap it for another—there are 60 meals to choose from each week, so you’re sure to find some recipes you like. If you want more food, you can add extra meals, snacks, and drinks from the add-ons menu.

While YouFoodz provides a varied range of meals, it doesn’t cater to more specific dietary requirements such as vegan, halal, gluten-free, keto, paleo, or low-carb. If you have specific dietary needs, it’s best to check the menu on the YouFoodz website and check out the ingredients.

Does YouFoodz Come With Cooking Instructions?

Because YouFoodz meals are already pre-cooked, preparing them is quick and simple: just pop your meal in the microwave and it’ll be ready in minutes. If you don’t have a microwave, you can heat the meals in the oven.

What Makes YouFoodz Stand Out?

One of the best things about YouFoodz is that it makes eating delicious, diverse, and healthy meals easy, no matter how busy you might be. Ingredients are always fresh, never frozen, and all meals are perfectly balanced and dietitian-endorsed—so the only thing you need to focus on is enjoying them.

Plus, aside from having a wide range of meat, veggie, flexitarian, and low-calorie meals to choose from, you can also add all manner of treats. From caramel apple yoghurt bites to white chocolate protein cookies, these add-ons are ideal for breakfast or dessert—or simply as a tasty snack.

YouFoodz Packaging, Shipping and Delivery

You don’t need to be at home for your YouFoodz box to be delivered safely. If you’re going to be out, just make sure you leave delivery instructions when confirming your order, and specify whether you’d like your box left at your front door or dropped in another safe place.

Meals are vacuum sealed and packed up neatly using modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), which ensures they stay fresh. The boxes are fully recyclable too, so you can pop them in your council recycling bin once you’re done.

Is There a YouFoodz App?

If you prefer using your phone to using your desktop, you can download the YouFoodz app. The app is free and easy to use and allows you to manage your account quickly and conveniently.

The app has all the same features as the regular YouFoodz website, and because it’s so user-friendly, it’s easy to adapt your plan or make changes while you’re on go. You can choose and swap meals, change your plan preferences, update your delivery address and payment details, and pause, skip or cancel via the app.

YouFoodz Customer Service

If you would like a refund for any reason, you can request one over the phone or via Facebook. It can take up to 14 days for your refund to be approved, and up to seven business days for it to be processed.

How to Cancel or Pause YouFoodz

A YouFoodz subscription is flexible, so you can cancel anytime—and if you’d like to skip a week, just head to Settings, click My Menu, and amend your delivery time by clicking Edit delivery.

If you’d like to cancel your YouFoodz subscription, go to Settings, scroll down to Plan Settings, then click Deactivate my plan.

How YouFoodz Compares to Other Meal Delivery Services

If you’re thinking about subscribing to YouFoodz, you might be wondering how it compares to other meal delivery services. With so many options, it’s worth thinking about how much you’re prepared to pay, how much variety you want, and how much preparation each service requires.

Here’s how YouFoodz measures up.

YouFoodz vs HelloFresh AU

YouFoodz is more affordable than HelloFresh—especially if you’re ordering lots of meals each week. Even if you’re ordering only five meals, it still comes in a full dollar less than HelloFresh. Plus, whereas HelloFresh requires you to prepare and cook the meals yourself, YouFoodz meals arrive ready-made, so it’s far more convenient if you’re low on time.

YouFoodz vs EveryPlate AU

EveryPlate is known to be one of the less expensive meal services, but YouFoodz is still more affordable. However, EveryPlate includes options to choose meals for two, four, or six people, so it’s much better for families. On the other hand, while EveryPlate meals are simple, they still require preparation and cooking, whereas YouFoodz is all about speed and convenience.

YouFoodz vs Keto Cycle

Keto Cycle is similar to YouFoodz in that it provides meal plans, but otherwise, it’s a different type of service. Keto Cycle is an app that provides tailor-made dietary plans and recipes and can help get a handle on your meal planning, but you’ll have to do the shopping and cooking yourself, making YouFoodz a better option for those who want to save time and have meals delivered. While Keto Cycle will benefit those who follow a keto diet, whom YouFoodz doesn’t cater to, it isn’t the cheapest option considering it doesn’t provide you with any meals.
