How Does Parsley Health Work?
Parsley Health takes a holistic approach to treating symptoms and chronic conditions. Your Parsley doctor will get to know your entire health history through an in-depth intake, 4x-longer-than-average appointments, and specialty testing other doctors don’t offer to diagnose the underlying condition causing your symptoms. While medications are prescribed as needed, Parsley’s doctors and health coaches have advanced training in functional medicine to create a personalized plan with recommended lifestyle changes, nutrition, and nontraditional treatments like acupuncture to heal symptoms where they start.
With an annual membership, you get 5 visits with your doctor each year to investigate your medical history, get you the diagnoses you need, and create a personalized health plan. You also get 5 visits with your health coach each year. Your coach will work with you to put your personalized health plan into action. During these visits, you’ll set achievable goals, discuss your progress and setbacks, and adjust your plan as needed.
Parsley Health offers visits in-person if you’re located in New York City or Los Angeles, or online if you’re located anywhere else. You can schedule your visits online to suit your schedule, and you can reschedule visits up to 24 hours before your appointment. Appointments are available from 8AM-5PM (ET) Monday-Friday.
In addition, Parsley Health offers unlimited messaging with your care team. Responses typically take 1-3 days.
When you get started with the platform, Parsley Health asks you to fill out a comprehensive medical questionnaire. You’ll then choose your preferred clinician and health coach from a list of providers available in your area. Your first visit is a 1-hour meeting with your clinician to create a personalized health plan and get recommendations for diagnostic testing.
