Best For
ZENNI is the ideal glasses store for people who are shopping on a budget, are looking for a terrific user experience, or want plenty of options. ZENNI delivers all of these, so if affordability, variety, or ease are on your top 10 lists, this is the site for you.
- The price is right
- You’ve got options!
- Great user experience
How Does it Work
ZENNI has got to be the best user experience I’ve had with any online glasses store to date. The site is clean and so easy to use. You can test out your frames with the digital try-on tool. There is a ton of flexibility in the ordering process. Everything just went so smoothly from start to finish. Here’s a closer look at how it works:
- Pick your frames
Start by browsing for your new frames. If you don’t want to be here forever, you should use some of the filters to narrow down your options (ZENNI’s got a LOT of options). There are plenty of filters, including prescription, color, shape, material, size, and feature. You can also sort your results by price, new arrivals, sale items, etc. Big points for such a tremendous selection.
I also like that ZENNI gives you a ton of information about the frames before you put them into your cart (I HATE when a store forces you to put something into the cart before you get all the details!). ZENNI provides you with all the important details, including rim type, shape, material, frame, lens, and bridge dimensions, prescription range, and extra features available. It’s just a more helpful service that gives you the details right away.
- Test out your new look
When you’ve found a pair you like, you can try on your frames to see how they’ll look. ZENNI has a different virtual try-on feature from most online glasses shops. You can do the standard try-on, which lets ZENNI access your webcam. Or you can choose from a lineup of people (including different genders, ethnicities, ages, and skin types) to test out the look, and this includes a neat swivel feature that rotates the profile for full-angle visibility.
- Personalize your glasses
Add the frames to your cart to move forward. Now you’ll put in some details like your PD and your prescription type (bifocal, multifocal, single vision, etc.), and choose your progressive option depending on your prescription type. And then you’ve got choices! Choose which extras (if any) you want added to your glasses. Features can include photochromic lenses, polarized sunglasses, Blokz blue blockers, custom engraving, and more. Remember, though, that every addition brings the total price of your glasses up.
- Finalize your order
Lastly, you can enter your payment and shipping information. ZENNI has a flat rate of $4.95 for shipping anywhere in the US, including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. You can also pay extra for expedited shipping and get it in either 10-16 or 7-12 days. Interestingly enough, ZENNI also ships internationally, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Malta, Europe, and pretty much anywhere else. Various shipping fees apply.
How Much Does ZENNI Cost?
Starting at just $6.95 a frame, ZENNI is undoubtedly one of the cheapest places you can turn to for online glasses shopping. Even the most expensive pair on the site will cost you a laughable $45.95. Of course, that’s not the full picture. If you want to include extras like the ones we mentioned, you’ll have to pay for them. So keep that in mind as you’re making your selection.
ZENNI has a good warranty. It’s only 30 days for the frames, not great, but a lifetime warranty for nose pads and nose pad screws. ZENNI offers a 10% discount to all military personnel, first responders, students, teachers, nurses, and other medical staff.
Types of Glasses
ZENNI has a tremendous range of glasses and frames to choose from. You can get just about any type of lenses or frames, including:
- Anti-fog coating
- Anti-reflective
- Anti-scratch
- Aspheric lenses
- Bifocals
- Mirrored lenses
- Night driving
- Photochromic lenses
- Polarized lenses
- Polycarbonate lenses
- Progressive
- Safety glasses
- Single vision
- Sunglasses
- Trivex lenses
- UV protection
You can also order frames without lenses, standard reading glasses, and more.
Refunds and Returns
Returns are a little complicated with ZENNI. Generally speaking, you have 30 days to return your glasses without a problem. However, if you’re returning them because you just don’t like the glasses or made a mistake when ordering, you will either get a store credit or a 50% refund. Not great. Damaged goods can be returned for 30 days for a full refund.
Customer Service
ZENNI has excellent customer support. You can reach someone via email or phone during very extended hours. Or you can get help 24/7 using the chat support option. ZENNI also has customer service available in English, French, or Spanish.
And in case that wasn't enough, ZENNI has loaded up its website with tons of useful tools, including clear infographics on topics like how-to measure your PD, choosing the best eyeglass for your face shape, and how to adjust your glasses. Nice! ZENNI also has how-to videos, an extensive help center, and a blog with lots of interesting articles like how to match your accessories with your glasses and a Pantone’s 2021 color chart of the year.

Testimonials
“I have recently purchased 2 pairs of glasses to match a couple outfits, and most likely will buy more. As long as you have the full prescription from your eye doctor it's easy to order glasses. They are durable and darn cute. If a problem happens their customer service is great. Prices are fantastic which includes extra add on that would give you a $500 overall price at a optometrist office, but here you have half of that or less.”
“My daughter lost her original pair of glasses that were less than 3 months old. Knowing insurance would not cover another pair, we chose to order through Zenni. She LOVES the glasses! She ended up finding the original pair after I ordered. Now she wears both, and you honestly can't tell the difference between the extremely expensive pair and the Zenni pair. I was nervous about ordering for a child, but it turned out great!”
Bottom Line
There’s not much not to like about ZENNI. The return policy is a little strange and if you want to ship internationally and fast, you’re going to have to pay for it. Other than that, though, ZENNI is a solid 10. The prices are incredibly low, the variety is out of this world, and you just can’t beat the user experience. ZENNI also offers tons of useful resources, how-to videos, and tools to make the entire shopping excursion a success.
