Global Campus is the University of Arizona’s online degree program. It’s open to anyone worldwide and offers 51 undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees. Students can complete their entire degrees online while accessing many of the same advising and tutoring resources available to on-campus students.

There are undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees available within most of these study areas. The Global Campus program is entirely online, so you can attend even if you don’t live in Arizona. 

In addition, all of the classes that Global Campus offers are designed so that you can complete your coursework on your schedule. Courses are five to six weeks long and include pre-recorded lectures and online assignments you can complete anytime.

How the University of Arizona Global Campus Works

The University of Arizona Global Campus is entirely online and never requires you to visit the University of Arizona’s campus.

Students can select their degree program and start taking courses on their schedule. Courses are five to six weeks in length, and you can take one at a time or enroll in multiple courses simultaneously to achieve your degree faster.

Online courses involve a combination of downloadable textbooks, pre-recorded lectures, and online group discussions. All classes are asynchronous, so you never need to be present at a specific time.

How to get started with the University of Arizona Global Campus

You can start with the University of Arizona Global Campus by online browsing the available degree programs. The Global Campus website has a degree finder quiz that will suggest degrees based on your interests.

Once you find a degree program you’re interested in, you can request more information. You’ll need to provide your name, email, and phone number. An enrollment officer will contact you by phone to explain the enrollment process, including tuition costs and how to transfer credits. You’ll then receive access to the online application, which you can submit with no application fee.

After enrolling at the University of Arizona Global Campus, you can view available courses for your degree program and sign up for your first class. It’s easy to track your credits and see what courses are required to complete your degree.

Terms and fees

The University of Arizona Global Campus offers transparent tuition rates for its degree programs. Undergraduate programs cost $510 per credit, master’s programs cost $665-$740 per credit, and doctoral programs cost $1,082 per credit. 

Undergraduate degrees require 120 credits, while master’s degrees require 39 credits. For a doctoral program, 102 credits are required. You can transfer approved college credits toward your bachelor's program at UAGC.* These credits can significantly reduce the cost of earning a degree through Global Campus.

There’s no fee to apply for the University of Arizona Global Campus. In addition, you can attend the first three weeks of your course without paying tuition to ensure that Global Campus is the right fit for you.

Financial aid is available through scholarships and grants, including grants specifically for military veterans. The University of Arizona Global Campus also partners with major companies like Walgreens, T-Mobile, and Banner Health to offer discounted tuition rates to their employees.

*The transferability of credits is subject to the University of Arizona Global Campus transfer credit policies and requires the submission of official transcripts. The official transcripts will be evaluated to determine the credits that will officially apply toward a UAGC degree program.

Something I like about the University of Arizona Global Campus is that it’s one of the only online degree platforms that offers virtual student organizations. There’s a virtual student union, a LatinX students’ club, a chess club, an LGBTQ+ ally club, and more. These online organizations really enhance the Global Campus experience and allow you to connect with other students outside of your classes

Global Campus graduates can attend a virtual graduation ceremony or join an in-person graduation at the University of Arizona’s Tucson campus. How the University of Arizona Global Campus compares with other online universities

University of Arizona Global Campus vs. Arizona State University

Arizona State University offers a much more comprehensive range of degree programs than the University of Arizona Global Campus. However, Arizona State University is more expensive—undergraduate credits cost $634 each. So, I recommend Arizona State University only if the Global Campus program doesn’t have the degree program you want.

University of Arizona Global Campus vs. University of Phoenix

The University of Phoenix doesn’t offer as many student resources as the University of Arizona Global Campus. There are no student organizations, and you don’t receive 24/7 access to academic advisors.

However, the University of Phoenix is significantly cheaper, with undergraduate credits priced at $398 each, and it’s a good option if you want to reduce the cost of your degree.

University of Arizona Global Campus vs. Southern New Hampshire University

Southern New Hampshire University offers many student services as the University of Arizona Global Campus and a wider variety of degree programs. It also charges much less for tuition—undergraduate credits cost only $330 per credit. However, SNHU is not nationally ranked, and its degrees may have less name recognition than those from the University of Arizona.

Bottom Line

The University of Arizona Global Campus offers 51 online degree programs from a nationally ranked university. You can complete your degree on your schedule and take just one class at a time to ensure your education doesn’t interrupt the rest of your life.
