In a Nutshell

Proflowers is a popular online flower delivery service available in the United States, Canada, and 125 other countries. It offers a good range of high-quality bouquets and other gifts, with same- or next-day delivery. While shipping costs aren’t straightforward, I like that Proflowers offers 24/7 customer support and a satisfaction guarantee, meaning it will either replace or refund your flowers if you aren’t happy with them.

Types of flowers and bouquets

Proflowers offers pre-made bouquets categorized by flower type, color, occasion, or delivery speed. The range is similar to other flower delivery services, with the most popular options being roses, lilies, orchids, sunflowers, and hydrangeas.

Proflowers’ flower selections change seasonally, with specialty bouquets available for different holidays. For example, Valentine’s Day, Easter, and Thanksgiving.

Other offerings

Proflowers offers a selection of house plants, including orchids, bonsai trees, succulents, and more.

You can also order food gifts, like charcuterie and cheese boards, chocolates, cookies, baked gifts, chocolate-covered strawberries, and kombucha. Proflowers also offers flower and chocolate combos that come gift-wrapped.

Proflowers has teddy bears, candles, or spa and wellness hampers if you're looking for a keepsake.

Proflowers Pricing

Proflowers’ prices range from $40 for a standard bouquet to $200 for a premium bouquet. For each bouquet style, there are three or four different sizes on offer. For example, the Florist Original Mixed Bouquet comes in the Original style for $40, Deluxe for $65, Premium for $80, and Exquisite for $100. Long-stem roses are available in bouquets of 12 for $75, 18 for $105, 24 for $135, or 36 for $200.

You can also purchase sets of two or more bouquets that arrive together and have just one delivery fee.

Proflowers’ shipping fees are somewhat complicated. Standard delivery ranges from $16.99 to $39.99, depending on the time, date, and season. You may need to pay extra for Monday, Saturday, same-day, or morning deliveries. There’s also a care and handling charge of $2.99-$5.98. It costs an extra $19.99 to send flowers to Alaska or Hawaii.

For example, it costs $24.97 for a $105 bunch of long-stem pink roses to be delivered to San Francisco in January. This includes $4.99 for same-day delivery, a $16.99 delivery fee, and a $2.99 handling fee.

You an’t subscribe to flower deliveries. However, Proflowers offers a ProPerks package where you get free delivery all year for $39.99. This includes the same-day delivery service and applies to both Alaska and Hawaii.

How To Send Flowers with Proflowers

Proflowers uses a one-time order system only. Head to the Proflowers website, click through the menu to choose your bouquet style and select your preferred size.

You should then head to your basket in the top right-hand corner and click “Checkout.” Select your delivery date, input the recipient’s details, and complete your payment information. You can pay by credit card, debit card, or Afterpay.

Regardless of location, a local florist will make the bouquets and deliver them on the same day or the next. Be aware that you need to order before 2pm for same-day delivery and 9pm for next-day delivery. (This depends on the recipient’s time zone, not yours.) Additionally, not all products are available in all locations. For example, we couldn’t send chocolate-covered strawberries to Alaska.
